Recent Adventures & Current To-Do's

Hello, lovelies! How has everyone been? Life has been so incredibly hectic for me lately. Luckily, I've still had some time to participate in some fun events and activities. I think it's so important to find time to engage in meaningful hobbies and interests that bring joy into our lives.

A recent event that I had the pleasure of attending was a local Valentine's Day arts and crafts market. There were booths for various local and visiting artisans, crafters, and other small businesses. I had such a blast and it was so nice to connect with local shop owners. They even had a photo shoot area that was decorated for the upcoming holiday.

How adorable is this set up? I had such a great time, especially since I got to wear my brand new dress from JessaKae! It is the Eloise dress in lilac. I got so many compliments and felt like a princess during the entire event. It's also really comfy and chic. Plus, if you're looking for a discount, you can use code SYDNEY10 at checkout for 10% off!

My other recent activities haven't have been as exciting, though they are still enough to spark joy. For example, sometimes I just love to get an iced chai tea latte and walk around Target. There's just something so calming about a Target during the mid-morning on the weekend. Does anyone else like to take photos while in Target? There's so many cute products!

Speaking of Target, have you checked out their new home decor items? I love the new spring selections that are coming into style. I'm definitely ready for a home decor refresh! Check out some of my favorite new products below!

Current To-Do's

One of the main things that I'm trying to do more of recently is reading. I have always loved to read and escape in the world of a book. I definitely enjoy finding new stories and going along for the ride of a great book. The only problem lately is, of course, making the time to do it. Work and life seem to take up so much of every day! So, when I do get the time to delve into a book it is relished.

The next book on my to-read list is The Fifth Petal by Brunonia Barry. This is actually a sequel to a novel that I really enjoyed called The Lace Reader (by the same author, of course). I felt the first book did a great job of worldbuilding and immersing the reader into the story, which I really appreciated. Without giving too much away, it's about a girl returning to her hometown after her grandmother's mysterious passing. There's a lot of different themes that I felt were interesting, namely spirituality, mysticism, forgiveness, and grief. Needless to say, I'm excited to get into the next part of this story and see where it takes me!

  1. That lilac dress is so lovely on you! It's good that you have been able to make a little time for reading despite being so busy too! I read a little in the evenings before bed, when the kids are asleep. It's the best way to work it into my day! :)

Hope that you are having a nice week :) It's been a big week here for the kids, their first week back at school after the summer holidays!
