Beauty Review: Purlisse Beauty & Skincare

Hello, lovelies! I hope you all have been well! For this post, I wanted to share another beauty review with you all. I will be reviewing the beauty and skincare brand, Purlisse. Full disclosure, I am currently partnering with this brand. However, I wanted to try their products for myself to test out their benefits prior. So, I purchased the featured travel-size products with my own money and am ready to test them out. Keep reading to find out the results!

The packaging for this brand is pretty standard in terms of practicality. The squeeze tubes work really well for the type of product that you're receiving. As for aesthetics, I can definitely appreciate the bright and colorful designs. I like that the color of each package correlates to the ingredients used in the product.

Something that I really love about this brand is that they have made a visible commitment to providing clean beauty. On the Purlisse website, there is a full list of ingredients that the brand has committed to never using. They also don't test on animals, which is an important factor for me. As for the "good" ingredients, the brand utilizes Asian botanicals such as blue lotus, white tea, and green tea. Other nourishing ingredients include French marine plants, vitamin E, vitamin C, pineapple, and watermelon.

So at this point, I have used all of the featured products (Matcha Green Tea Antioxidant Priming MoisturizerPineapple Bright Cleansing Gel, and Ageless Glow Serum BB Cream SPF40). I think that they all apply well and smoothly. The BB Cream is thick provides buildable coverage because of this, and a little bit goes a long way. The green tea moisturizer is very luxurious and, thankfully, provides really effective moisturization. The cleansing gel is very effective at removing dirt, oil, and makeup while remaining gentle on the skin.

I definitely like that the BB Cream has built in SPF 40 which protects my skin from UVA/UVB rays. After using all of these products together in my beauty and skincare routine for this past week, I feel that my skin has reacted very well. My face feels soft and smooth, and I have had less breakouts since using the products. I have sensitive skin, so I will know pretty quickly if the products cause a breakout or irritation. Thankfully, the Purlisse brand appears to take people with sensitive skin into consideration with their formulations and ingredients.

So this is the only area where I feel I have a valid critique of the brand. While the products are excellent and a little goes a long way, the price point is fairly high for the amount you receive for some of the products. For example, the featured BB Cream is $39.00 for 1.4 fluid ounces/40 mL. However, there is a wide range of prices available depending on the product. The featured cleansing gel is $18 for 3.4 fluid ounces/100 mL, for example, which is a lot more product for your money. While I think that some of the prices could be more affordable, they are definitely not completely over budget. There are also various products in different categories and price points to choose from. Additionally, I really like that they offer travel size versions of almost every product so that you can test out the products before committing to a full purchase. They are also perfect for trips and vacations!

Needless to say, I am very pleasantly surprised with the Purlisse brand and the products that they offer. I love that there is a decently-sized variety of available products, including moisturizers, cleansers, serums, masks, makeup, body scrubs and butters, and beauty tools. I would definitely recommend Purlisse for anyone who is looking to support an independent beauty and skincare brand. Oh, and did I mention that it is an Asian-owned, woman-owned and founded? I love supporting small businesses, especially when their products are this good.

If you end up trying out any products from Purlisse (or already have), let me know in the comments! I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for reading, lovelies!
